The Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 V-spec II Nür is basically the final “factory boss” version of the R34, released in Feb 2002 as a limited-run swan song, named for the Nürburgring where Nissan did a lot of its GT-R development work.

How rare is it?

• 718 V-spec II Nür were built.

• Nissan also made the more comfort-leaning M-spec Nür; combined, the Nür editions total 1,003 cars (718 V-spec II Nür + 285 M-spec Nür).

• A famous spec is Millennium Jade—RM Sotheby’s notes 156 V-spec II Nür cars in that color.

What “V-spec II” means (the base you start from)

Compared with earlier R34 GT-Rs, V-spec models add the hardcore drivetrain bits: ATTESA E-TS Pro AWD control and an active rear LSD, plus firmer chassis tuning and aero/underbody tweaks.
Then V-spec II (Oct 2000 update) goes further with:

• stiffer suspension than V-spec

• larger rear brake rotors

• a carbon-fibre hood with a NACA duct

• some interior/trim changes (console, pedals, seat cloth, etc.)

What makes the “Nür” special

The Nür models get the headline upgrade: an enhanced RB26DETT based on the N1 race-engine spec—with internal hardware changes and upgraded turbos (often described as durability-focused vs. the standard setup).

They also have several easy-to-spot identifiers:

• 300 km/h speedometer

• gold valve covers

• gold VIN/ID plate

• different interior stitching details

Why people care (beyond the hype)

It’s rare, it’s the last factory evolution of the RB26 R34, and it combines the V-spec II chassis/drivetrain with the N1-based engine—so it’s one of the most desirable “stock-ish” R34 specs collectors chase.
